Applications 2027 Now Open
Founded by Nordic galleries in 2006, Market Art Fair has grown into a boutique fair with an international scope. For 2027, Market Art Fair introduces the SEB Discovery Award, a new platform for ambitious artistic presentations that push the boundaries of what an art fair can be.
Galleries are invited to apply to participate in Market Art Fair 2027, taking place 23–25 April at Magasin 9 in Stockholm. The fair welcomes ambitious proposals for solo presentations and curated group shows from galleries of all nationalities. Participating galleries are selected by an international selection committee consisting of current and former museum directors, ensuring a high level of curatorial quality.
The SEB Discovery Award, launched in partnership with Lead Partner SEB offers one selected gallery a fully sponsored booth for a presentation centred on a single artwork or cohesive artistic project by one artist or artist collective. Open to galleries and artists worldwide, the award supports ambitious projects that challenge the conventions of the traditional art fair booth with the aim to introduce artistic practices that deserve wider recognition within the Nordic art scene. The selected project will also become part of a dedicated Discovery Programme, with introductions to leading Nordic curators, institutions and collectors, alongside public programming and editorial coverage.

Our Selection Committee
The galleries participating in each edition of Market Art Fair are chosen by experienced museum directors and curators from the Nordic region who form the fair’s independent selection committee. The guiding principles for selection – quality of art, presentation, and relevance - ensure that exhibitors, whether established or emerging, prioritise bold artistic visions, making each edition of the fair feel forward-looking and vital. Proposals can feature Nordic artists, international artists, or a combination of both, provided they are supported by a strong curatorial vision.
About Market Art Fair
Founded in 2006 as a joint initiative by galleries from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland, Market Art Fair has established itself as the leading market and meeting place for contemporary art in the Nordic region. Over the years, the fair has grown from a small-scale initiative into Scandinavia’s longest-running premier art fair, without losing its collaborative spirit and uniquely familiar character. Today, Market Art Fair welcomes galleries, artists, and collectors from around the globe to experience a boutique fair with a Nordic perspective and worldwide reach - designed for discovery, dialogue, and dealmaking.
