When and where is Market Art Fair 2026?

Market Art Fair takes place 24–26 April at Magasin 9 in Stockholm.

Magasin 9 is located in Frihamnen, an area that is easily accessible by car, public transport and bicycle, just a stone’s throw from Stockholm’s city center.

How can I get to the fair?

Free shuttle buses run every 30 minutes between Scandic Anglais, Humlegårdsgatan 23 and the fair, and are included in your ticket. The journey takes just ten minutes.

Public transport:
Ferry 80 stop Frihamnen stop is right next to the fair and departs from Ropsten (one stop), Nacka, Djurgården or Nybroplan
Bus 1 to Frihamnen, 500 m walk
Bus 76 to Frihamnen, 500 m walk
Metro Red line to Gärdet, 15 minutes walk

The fair is easily accessible by private vehicle and there is plenty of parking available.

Magasin 9 is also easy to reach by bicycle or electric scooter via Stockholm’s cycle paths.

What are the public opening hours?

Friday 24 April Opening Night: 15.00–20.00  (limited tickets available)
Saturday 25 April: 11.00–18.00
Sunday 26 April: 11.00–17.00

It is also possible to buy tickets at the door on the day of entrance.

Ticket Price:
Opening Night (Friday): 250 Kr
Saturday and Sunday:
160 Kr – Adult
130 Kr – Concession proof of eligibility required (Senior, aged 65+ / Student)

The fair is free for visitors aged 18 and under. Visitors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

How can I get a ticket to the VIP Preview?

The VIP Preview is by invitation only.

About the venue

I’m starving! What are my options for eating and drinking?

We have a lovely café inside the fair where you can sit and enjoy everything from fika and snacks to lunch and drinks. The Deutz Champagne Bar will be open for the duration of the fair, where you can purchase champagne and enjoy a delicious charcuterie board.

Can I leave my coat and bag anywhere?

The coat check is free of charge. Large bags are not permitted in the exhibition halls. Market Art Fair is not liable for stolen items and/or any items deposited in the coat check area, at or nearby the fair.

Prams and pushchairs are allowed in the venue, but we encourage you to leave them by the entrance if possible as space is limited.

Dogs and other pets are not permitted in the venue, except for certified service animals for visitors with disabilities.

Is the fair fully accessible?

Yes, Market Art Fair and Magasin 9 is fully accessible for visitors with reduced mobility.

Toilets for visitors with reduced mobility are available. An AED (“hjärtstartare”) is located at the venue.

About the Fair

Are the artworks for sale?

Yes, all works of art at the fair are for sale. If you would like to purchase an artwork speak to the relevant gallery who will be happy to help. That’s their job!

How are the galleries selected for the fair?

If I buy something, can you help me to get it home?

Market Art Fair is happy to collaborate with art transport partner TransArt. For quotes and guidance on transport options we encourage you to speak with a representative at the TransArt desk at the fair.

Can I arrange insurance for my artwork at the fair?

Yes. You can arrange art insurance at the fair with our art insurance partner Brookfield. Do you have a talks programme?

Market Talks is an inspiring programme of engaging talks with artists, curators, and knowledgeable art world experts. The talks are included in your ticket and take place in the talks scene, next to the café. There is no pre-booking and seating is available on a first come first served basis.
