Sustainability
At Market Art Fair, we believe that art serves as a barometer for civilization—documenting, reflecting, and raising the alarm on critical challenges facing humanity.
In response to the climate and ecological emergency, we are committed to taking visionary, creative action towards a sustainable future in the art world. Market Art Fair pledges to significantly reduce our environmental impact and support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our long-term commitment is to build a sustainable Market Art Fair through responsible business practices, partnerships, and initiatives. We aim to achieve this vision by:
- Regularly reviewing and enhancing our business practices, systems, and values to ensure each area actively supports our pledge to environmental sustainability.
- Collaborating with partners and suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability and demonstrate active support for eco-friendly practices.
- Providing a platform for art, ideas, and dialogue that inspire environmental and social change, amplifying voices and catalysing actions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
We encourage all our partners, exhibitors, and guests to join us in rethinking, reducing, reusing, and recycling for a sustainable future. Read our full sustainability policy below.

Gallery Climate Coalition
We’re proud to be part of an alliance led by the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC), alongside other art fairs, to collectively address our environmental impact. Central to this initiative is the Art Fair Toolkit, developed in collaboration with GCC, art fairs, and environmental experts to promote sustainable art practices.
The toolkit provides a clear, actionable roadmap guiding Market Art Fair’s commitment to significantly reduce our environmental footprint and support environmental sustainability in the art sector by the end of this decade.
The GCC (Gallery Climate Coalition) is an international membership organisation supporting environmental sustainability across the art sector, helping artists, institutions, non-profits, galleries, and businesses like ours. Visit their website to learn more about sustainable art practices and coalition goals.
