What is the SEB Discovery Award?
The SEB Discovery Award is a new initiative launched in partnership with Lead Partner SEB for Market Art Fair 2027. It supports ambitious artistic presentations that challenge the conventions of the traditional art fair booth.
One selected gallery will receive a fully sponsored booth for a presentation by a single artist or artist collective. The presentation should centre on a single artwork or cohesive artistic project and transform the booth into a distinctive artistic experience. The award also includes opportunities for increased visibility through Market Art Fair’s public programme, editorial channels, and introductions to Nordic curators, institutions and collectors.
There is no application fee for the SEB Discovery Award and further information can be found here.
How do I apply?
Applications are submitted through our online form. You can save and return to your application until the deadline on October 21, 2026. To be considered by the Selection Committee, all applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of 4 000 SEK (approx. 365 EUR) excluding VAT. They should demonstrate long-term artist relationships and professional, responsible practices towards all stakeholders.

Are there any artist requirements?
Market Art Fair prioritizes applications with solo presentations as well as curated duo- and group shows. The fair mainly focuses on living contemporary artists but also accepts estate presentations when relevant. We welcome applications across all artistic media, with selection based on the quality of the presentation.
