Market Art Fair 2026, which took place in Stockholm from 23–26 April, marked a new chapter for the fair as it moved to Magasin 9 in Frihamnen for its 20th anniversary edition. The anniversary edition welcomed a record number of visitors, a growing regional collector base, and an unprecedented number of international art advisors.  Strong sales were reported throughout the fair, with several galleries selling out their presentations, reflecting continued interest in Nordic artists from both private and institutional collectors.

Market Art Fair 2025 marked an important milestone in its journey of expansion, as the fair took over the entire Liljevalchs and Liljevalchs+ buildings. Featuring 55 galleries and more than 150 artists, the fair presented a carefully curated selection of some of the most engaging Nordic and international contemporary art. For the first time in its history, Market Art Fair opened up to international presentations, while continuing to serve as the leading platform for the Nordic art scene. Over four days, the fair welcomed galleries from ten countries, seven first-time participants, and a record number of visitors and VIP guests.

With presentations from 47 galleries, visitors experienced experimental approaches as well as traditional craft-based art, and a well-earned focus on some of the galleries’ most experienced artists.

Market Art Fair 2023 saw the inaugural edition of Market Debut at Spritmuseum. The initiative focused on up-and-coming talent on the Nordic art scene and featured seven young galleries from four countries.

In 2022 Market Art Fair returned to its usual spring schedule taking place on 29 April -1 May at Liljevalchs Konsthall. The fair had a particular focus on the Icelandic art scene with a strong presence of renowned Icelandic artists including Olafur Eliasson, Arna Óttarsdóttir, Birgir Andrésson, Shoplifter/ Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir and Ragnar Kjartansson.

In 2021 Market Art Fair was delighted to return to the beautiful premises of Liljevalchs Konsthall and their new light filled exhibition space Liljevalchs+ following a break in 2020 due to the global pandemic.

The 2019 edition of Market Art Fair attracted over 7 000 visitors to the fair, taking place 12–14 April at Liljevalchs Konsthall in Stockholm. Represented at the fair were the leading galleries from the Nordic region as well as several international exhibitors.

In 2018 Market returned to the beautiful premises of Liljevalchs Konsthall on Djurgården. For the 13th edition, Market Art Fair brought together galleries, artists, collectors, art professionals and enthusiasts from the Nordic region and beyond.

The 12th edition of Market Art Fair opened to the public on Friday March 24 at Färgfabriken in Stockholm. Represented at the fair were 31 of the most prominent galleries from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

The 2016 edition of the fair took place on top of Gallerian, a shopping centre in the heart of Stockholm. Twenty-two international exhibitors took part. Market Scenery, created by COS in collaboration with Market Art Fair. The roof terraces on top of Gallerian offered a spectacular view of Stockholm. Visitors could enjoy food and drinks, in and outside a wooden structure aligned with COS' aesthetics of functional and timeless design. COS also created a conceptual t-shirt pop-up store, with an edited selection of garments selected by Karin Gustafsson and Martin Andersson, Heads of Design at COS.

Market Art Fair 2015 marked the 10th anniversary edition of the fair, returning once again to Liljevalchs on Djurgården in Stockholm for the third instance. The fair presented Market Space; for installations that go beyond the regular booth context could be found in Liljevalchs' magnificent Sculpture Hall.

Market Art Fair 2014 marked the ninth edition of the fair and its first at the newly relocated venue: Liljevalchs on Djurgården in Stockholm. The move was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from both visitors and exhibitors. Over the course of three days, 39 leading galleries from across the Nordic region presented curated exhibitions that offered a broad overview of contemporary art in the region. The fair attracted a record number of visitors – close to 7,000 in total – and participating galleries reported strong sales. Applications also reached an all-time high, signalling growing interest and recognition of the fair.
