Application
Founded by Nordic galleries in 2006, Market Art Fair has grown into a boutique fair with an international scope. 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the fair – a milestone we are proud to celebrate with a special jubilee edition.
Galleries are now invited to apply to participate in Market Art Fair 2026 taking place 23–26 April at Magasin 9 in Stockholm, with applications closing on 15 October 2025. The fair welcomes ambitious proposals of solo presentations and curated group shows from international galleries representing artists and showing a regular programme of exhibitions. Participating galleries for Market Art Fair are selected by an international selection committee consisting exclusively of current and former museum directors ensuring curatorial standards.
In addition to its main gallery presentations, Market Art Fair features a dynamic public talks programme, site-specific sculpture projects, and a comprehensive VIP programme. Our international guests are invited to experience Stockholm’s vibrant art scene through exclusive dinners, events, studio visits, and private viewings of museum exhibitions and private collections.
Over nearly two decades, Market Art Fair has established itself as the leading contemporary art fair in the Nordic region and an essential meeting place and trusted marketplace at the centre of the Nordic art industry.

Our Selection Committee
The galleries participating in each edition of Market Art Fair are chosen by experienced museum directors and curators from the Nordic region who form the fair’s independent selection committee. The guiding principles for selection – quality of art, presentation, and relevance - ensure that exhibitors, whether established or emerging, prioritise bold artistic visions, making each edition of the fair feel forward-looking and vital. Proposals can feature Nordic artists, international artists, or a combination of both, provided they are supported by a strong curatorial vision.

About Market Art Fair
Founded in 2006 as a joint initiative by galleries from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland, Market Art Fair has established itself as the leading market and meeting place for contemporary art in the Nordic region. Over the years, the fair has grown from a small-scale initiative into Scandinavia’s longest-running premier art fair, without losing its collaborative spirit and uniquely familiar character. Today, Market Art Fair welcomes galleries, artists, and collectors from around the globe to experience a boutique fair with a Nordic perspective and worldwide reach - designed for discovery, dialogue, and dealmaking.
