ELASTIC Gallery, SE
The gallery was founded by Ola Gustafsson and opened in 2005 in Malmö in the south of Sweden where the gallery for its first 10 years exhibited many of the leading Swedish artists from the Malmö art scene, along side acclaimed nordic and international artists.
The gallery has participated in international art fairs such as Art Basel, Frieze Art Fair, Zona MACO, Art Brussels and Material Art Fair as well as MARKET Art Fair. For a number of years the gallery ran Monopol Stockholm that gathered three young Swedish galleries BELENIUS, Crystal and Johan Berggren Gallery in group show format that allowed for guest appearances by international artists and galleries.
Since 2020 the gallery is located in the rural village of Jädraås, about 2 1/2 hrs north of Stockholm in the heart of the county of Gästrikland. On site visitors can both experience exhibitions in the gallery space as well as a growing sculpture park. 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the gallery and will be highlighted throughout the year.

This year's presentation
The solo presentation of artist Magnus Thierfelder Tzotzis will be composed as a curated entity comprising sculptural works in close dialogue with still and moving image that highlight the associative interplay between each individual work and the spatially sculptural composition as a whole.
This solo presentation showcases an artistic practice that is as much concerned with the societal challenges of our times as with highlighting the symbolic and ingenious details that hide in our everyday landscapes. Magnus Thierfelder Tzotzis primary material is always the street where people move side by side, where conversations take place, where tensions arise, and yet in his works the imaginary magic is always present.
