Avlskarl Gallery is proud to present a solo presentation of Danish artist Absalon Kirkeby at Market Art Fair. The large-scale photographic works are part of the series Broken Tornado, which is based on the spiral movement, which is both circular and progressive.

Through the series of works we encounter the movement in elements that are mirrored around its own axis; in surfaces that have a centrally located focal point and in motifs that point to speed and dynamism. We also meet the silence in the middle of the hurricane’s eye, and see the remains of the phenomenon that tears everything up and swirls it around before it one again hits the ground.
