Mads Hilbert, DK
Hilbert’s painterly practice revolves around the incomplete; the exciting transition between sketch and finished work. In his works, figuration and abstraction meet in a constant dance, where the focus dissolves and rediscovers itself.
The motifs are often landscapes, dreamy and fragmented spaces, where the human presence, especially the male body, stands lonely and searching.
Mads Hilbert (b. 1993, Helsinge, Denmark) lives and works in Copenhagen and and holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the Funen Art Academy, Odense.
