Frederik Nystrup-Larsen, DK

Nystrup-Larsen’s practice spans installation, sculpture and painting, brought to life in a wide variety of materials. His works emerge from loosely defined concepts and themes, often incorporating biographical elements in personal, embodied investigations of the formation of identity and self-narrative.

In his recent works Nystrup-Larsen is exploring our relationship with local plant life, as a way of both preserving and giving new life to endangered species. His works act as a kind of archive and functions as a means of rebuilding our awareness and therefore relationship with local flora.

Frederik Nystrup-Larsen (b. in 1992 in Copenhagen, Denmark), lives and works in Copenhagen and Møn, Denmark. He holds a MA from The Royal College of Art, sculpture department, in London and a BA from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design.
