This year's presentation
Kristín Morthens’ ‘We Got Time’ explores the act of pausing within uncertainty and extending that moment forward. Twilight – neither day nor night – becomes a symbol of transformation, transition, and possibility. The presentation includes large-scale paintings, ink and watercolor works, as well as sculptural installation.
The presentation is strongly inspired by Midsummer, which is celebrated in Iceland and other Nordic countries. The concept reflects both hope and fear at turning points – moments when everything feels possible and time seems to stretch. This solo presentation of Kristín Morthens’ work serves as a prologue to her upcoming solo exhibition at Þula in 2026.
