For Market Art Fair, Albin Werle presents a series of works based on mystical Christian traditions and folkloric games and rituals. Paintings and a sculpture accompanied by instructions that make them function similarly to Ouija boards or tarot cards: image systems that use randomness and play to generate unplanned conversations and thoughts.

A sculpture that looks like a traditional Swedish tabernacle shrine, but is really a modular fortune-telling device with moving parts, where the viewers may move around and ask questions to twenty miniature paintings.

A painting that uses the motif of the Annunciation as a base for a storytelling game where two players take turns embodying Mary and the angel through gestures and automatic speech.

And finally, a series of paintings based on the concept of the “labyrinth-as-pilgrimage”, where the paintings can be used to make imaginary journeys together, while sharing and remembering dreams, feelings and memories.
