Simon Wadsted, SE

Simon Wadsted was born 1994 in Stockholm, where he lives and works. He has a master in fine art from The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and in 2022 he was awarded the Maria Bonnier Dahlin scholarship and presentation at Bonniers Konsthall in Stockholm.

Wadsted paints worlds filled or emptied of our known world. Tables, buildings and curtains wobble and wave in supernatural light. Light, this is the element that captures attention in his works. Blocks of sunlight or some magical beam alter the familiar introducing anew, strange and dreamy reality.
