Moa Israelsson, SE
Moa Israelsson, b. 1982, Ljungby, Sweden, and educated at the Royal Institute of Art, Sthlm (2005–2010), has attracted considerable attention with her sculptural works focusing on the countryside, wilderness, and the borderland between reality and fiction.
Her expression is both naturalistic and folkloric, evoking thoughts of past and future. With materials such as rebar, polyester, and acrylic, she produces work with striking naturalism. Her works have been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout Sweden and internationally.
In recent years she has had exhibitions at Galleri Flach, Stockholm 2024 (solo); Tranås Stadshus, 2022 (solo); Vandalorum, 2022 (solo); Stockholm konst gästar, Liljevalchs+, 2025 (group); Pilane skulpturpark, Tjörn, 2024 (group); and Galerie Forsblom, 2919, Stockholm (solo). She has received several grants, such as Sparbankstiftelsen Kronan kulturstipendium 2024, Gunvor Kamkes & Sven Joanns minnesfond 2022, and Konstakademiens stipendium 2020.
