Dag Erik Elgin, NO
Dag Erik Elgin amongst other things has worked for many years on an ongoing series of evening drawings of his immediate surroundings executed at home. Simple line drawings of the domestic – objects, keys, flowers, plugs in a wall, computers sometimes with an historical art reference throw into the mix.
Dag Erik Elgin (Born 1962, Oslo) studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy and the Academy of Fine Art inOslo. Recently had a solo exhibition Bomba at Kunstnernes Hus, Olso. Elgin has exhibited extensively nationallyand internationally at museums and institutions as Albertinum, Gemäldegalerie Neue Meister, Dresden; TheNational Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, Oslo; Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin and Henie OnstadKunstsenter, Høvikodden. His work is included in major public and private collections. In 2014 he was awardedthe Carnegie Art Award first prize for his monumental work Balance of Painters.
