Arnstedt Östra Karup, SE
The gallery is located in Östra Karup, a village at the Bjäre peninsula in southern part of Sweden.
Established in 1998, the gallery occupies a historic 400-year-old mill building, which has been carefully renovated and extended to accommodate its exhibition spaces. The gallery’s annual program, which spans from April to November, presents a diverse range of contemporary art, featuring both well-established Nordic artists and emerging talents.
The sculpture garden surrounding the gallery adds to the visitors experience by providing a lively outdoor space for art, making it a popular attraction on its own.

This year's presentation
At Market Art Fair 2026, Arnstedt Östra Karup will show a duo presentation by Norwegian artist Fredrik Værslev andSwedish artist Gabriel Karlsson.
Fredrik Værslev challenges the boundaries of how painting is perceived. His work moves between variouspainting traditions and is characterized by a persistent focus on the painting process itself, often engaging with architecture. Inspired by the built environment around him, Værslev has, for the first time, created a series of bronze sculptures, which will be shown at Market 2026
.In dialogue with Fredrik Værslev’s works, Gabriel Karlsson will present a new series of sculptures. Often working with everyday objects, Karlsson reshapes and reuses them to create subtle, contemplative sculptures. His works form a dialogue between objects, each moving beyond its ordinary form to communicate on its own terms.
