Mickael Marman, NO/GM

Mickael Marman (b.1983) is an artist of Norwegian and Gambian descent, currently based in Oslo and Berlin. His artistic practice is characterised by a dynamic process involving constant reworking, layering, and deconstruction of images.

His exploration of materiality is often influenced by his travels, where he collects material such as photographs and references that are integrated into his paintings. His works exist in a field of tension, resisting easy interpretation while demanding attention and engaging with questions of authenticity, image perception, and meaning-making.
