Clara Gesang-Gottowt (b. 1985) is a Swedish artist whose atmospheric paintings navigate the intersection of memory, time, and perception.

Her works possess a dreamlike, almost spectral quality, where abstraction and figuration dissolve into one another. Through delicate, layered brushwork and a muted, luminous palette, Gesang-Gottowt creates compositions that feel simultaneously fleeting and enduring, evoking the quiet tension between presence and absence.

Her paintings function as emotional landscapes—fields of sensation where personal and collective memories resurface in soft washes of color. Light, texture, and translucency play a central role in her process, with thin layers of oil paint building a meditative depth.
