Galleri Glas was started in 2017 by Anna Bromberg Sehlberg and Elin Forsberg.
From the beginning, the gallery's aim has been to create a focal point for contemporary Swedish and international glass art. Its mission is to rejuvenate an art form with a proud tradition in Swedish cultural heritage. The gallery quickly became a hub for interactions between artists and an informed audience interested in distinctive objects. Over time, the gallery has expanded its offerings to include exhibitions of other art forms such as painting and photography, while maintaining a primary emphasis on glass art.

Maria Hall
Artist, painter and writer Maria Hall is often acknowledged for her poetic portrayal of nature but she says: “I am more interested in weight. To me, nature is a place that one can fill with content, of moods like yearning, grief and absence. It can be the lack of somebody, a time, an event. Everything begins there.”
In her artwork, Maria Hall demonstrates an unwavering commitment to her craft. She meticulously constructs her images using classical oil painting techniques, employing concise brushstrokes with a small brush. “My technique is entirely my own. Even with my larger paintings I work away with a small brush. My story has tension. It would seem strange if I were to paint in a great flow. It's as if I gradually bring forth the motif with my brush.”
Maria Hall was born in Gothenburg in 1964. She lives and works in Stockholm. Hall graduated from Hovedskous Art School, Valand Academy of Art in Gothenburg as well as the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm in 1997 and has since exhibited widely at museums, and galleries in Sweden and abroad.

Ann Wåhlström
The collection "Stones and Vessels" is the culmination of a formative journey that spans over 40 years – if not longer. Raised by an architect mother and immersed in continual developmental work, Ann Wåhlström, born in 1957, found herself at the age of 20 envisioning a future as a ceramist. Influenced by the liberated approach to glass design at Pilchuck Glass School in the USA, Wåhlström has become one of Sweden's foremost glass artists and designers. Her glass art, known for its global appreciation, is featured in prestigious institutions such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the National Museum in Stockholm.
