About the gallery

Galleri GKM was founded in 1967 in Jönköping by Solveig and Siwert Bergström and is today operated by the second and third generation.

The gallery represents contemporary international fine art, from older well established artists to a younger generation who captures our time with a pictorial language.
Galleri GKM offers a spread of original paintings, sculptures and photos as well as own editions of
multiples, engravings, silkscreens and art books. Galleri GKM is situated in Malmö and Stockholm in Sweden. The gallery is also represented by an office in Paris.

Erró

For Market Art Fair 2023 Galleri GKM is celebrating 90 years of Erró by showing a selection of his works from different series. Erró, pseudonym for Gudmundur Gudmundsson, is an Icelandic artist who moved to Paris and became one of the founders of the French Art Narratif movement, reflecting the PopArt in the United States during the 1960’s. During that period he was encouraged by the Swedish museum director Pontus Hultén, who took him under his wing. Erro’s works are exhibited at museums all over the world and in 2001 a permanent exhibition dedicated to Erró was installed at Reykjavík Art Museum.
