Larsen Warner
Stockholm
Larsen Warner has built a reputation for presenting a dynamic exhibition programme of both emerging and established Scandinavian and international artists.
Christian Larsen founded his first gallery in 1996 with an inaugural exhibition by Sally Mann. Exhibitions with major international and Swedish artists followed including artists such as Louise Lawler, Ross Bleckner, William Wegman and Miriam Bäckström. In 2007 Christian Larsen moved to new premises at Hudiksvallsgatan, opening with an exhibition of renowned Argentinian artist Tomás Saraceno. The gallery continued to forge an ambitious exhibition program, featuring Swedish talents like Joakim Ojanen and Anton Alvarez alongside esteemed international artists. Notable debuts in Sweden included exhibitions by Rose Wylie, Frank Bowling, John Körner, Gavin Turk, Robert Mangold and Robert Mapplethorpe.
In September 2019 the gallery relocated to Östermalm at Sturegatan 28. This coincided with owner Christian Larsen and director Darren Warner, choosing the opening of the new space to foster a closer collaboration, and changing the name to Larsen Warner. Since moving to their current location the gallery has continued to develop upon its international exhibition programme, presenting ambitious exhibitions by artists such as Marina Adams, Ron Gorchov, Ryan Mosley, Andi Fischer and Takuro Kuwata.

Joakim Ojanen & Jack Kabangu
Larsen Warner will present a duo booth featuring the work of renowned Swedish artist Joakim Ojanen (b.1985, Sweden) alongside Danish based artist Jack Kabangu (b. 1996, Zambia) Although distinct in their individual approaches to art making, both Ojanen and Kabangu share much in their own unique representations of the human form and the dialogue and interplay between contemporary art and popular art. This is the first opportunity for a Scandinavian audience to experience new ceramic works by Joakim Ojanen since his acclaimed exhibition The Part You Throw Away at Västerås Konstmuseum in 2021.
The works presented at Market Art Fair expand on the sophisticated visual language that he has developed over the last 9 years presenting a slightly looser, gestural sculpting style that Ojanen has been utilising in recent sculptural works. Presented alongside these will be new paintings and works on paper by Jack Kabangu. Kabangu stands as one of the most sought-after young Scandinavian artists on the international stage. Larsen Warner is thrilled to introduce his powerful paintings to a Swedish audience for the first time. Kabangu's artistic practice employs vibrant colour palettes and dynamic lines to create abstract figures infused with references to Abstract Expressionism, graffiti and the Cobra Art Movement.
