Since ancient times, the needle and the thread have been fundamental tools in human life.The exhibition The Magic Power of the Needle brings together 12 artists from around the world – including Louise Bourgeois, Małgorzata Mirga-Tas, and Meriç Algün – all exploring the magical power of the sewing needle.

Inspired by Louise Bourgeois’s words about the sewing needle as a tool for healing andforgiveness, the visitor is invited into a figurative as well as literal web to explore. The threadruns through both time and space in this exhibition of stories from around the world andartworks that connect the past with the present and the personal with the political.Welcome to a world of weaving and embroidery, threads and magic.
