Valeria Vaccaro, IT

Valeria Vaccaro (b. 1988, Turin) studied sculpture at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts.

Since 2005, she has exhibited across Europe and participated in major art fairs. In 2022, she received Second Prize from the VAF Foundation, which promotes contemporary Italian art in Germany.

Her work explores contrasts—heavy and light, eternal and ephemeral—using marble sculpted to resemble charred wood. Fascinated by fire’s symbolic and transformative power, Vaccaro sees it not as destruction, but as a creative force. Through her precise,elegant sculptures, she elevates ordinary objects, using marble to reflect both fragility andpermanence in today’s fluid society.
