Sune Christiansen, DK
Sune Christiansen (b. 1976) is a self-taught Danish artist based in Copenhagen, recognized for his ambiguous and playful approach to figurative abstraction.
His work, combining oil stick, pastel, acrylic, and industrial enamel on raw canvas, explores themes of human presence and emotional resonance. Recently, Christiansen has also incorporated large-scale ceramic sculptures, adding a sculptural dimension to his practice.
Originally trained in digital art, he often begins his creative process with digital sketches, later transferring these ideas to canvas to capture immediacy and depth. Christiansen has exhibited extensively in Denmark and abroad, with recent shows includingAfterparty at Bricks Gallery (2024).The Leftovers at Alzueta Gallery in Barcelona (2023) andViewpoint at Pt.2 Gallery in Oakland (2023).
