Roger Metto, SE

At the core of Roger Metto’s artistry lies the unique character of the northern landscapes, where forests and mountains engage in an ongoing dialogue.

His works capture the gentle curves of mountain silhouettes, the shifting light and colors of the sky, as well as the countless variations of shadows and textures that bring these scenes to life. With a sense of both permanence and change, each brushstroke reflects memory and the passage of time. In Metto’s complex imagery, internal and external landscapes interact, where form and content, as well as color and darkness, create a dynamic unity. His art explores themes related to existence, memory, and the expression of perception and context, offering a deeper exploration of our own experiences and connections to the world around us.
