Magnus Thierfelder Tzotzis, SE

The work of Magnus Thierfelder Tzotzis is born out of everyday walks, observations and conversations, things written in the newspaper, on social media, different feeds, distance, disagreements and facts, conspiracies, linguistic inclinations, speculation, profit, untruths, conflicts, politics, climate change, algorithms, nature and poetry.

These elements are then filtered through sculptural compositions, sound, still and moving images to create a larger spatial collage that breathes the fragile present we live in. The interplay between the visual imagery and the linguistic symbolism of the carefully chosen titles forms a cohesive whole that expands the cognitive reading and makes room for emotions: gravity, resignation and despair, but also the exceptional magic that is all around us.

Magnus Thierfelder Tzotzis (born 1976 in Glumslöv). Lives and works in Malmö and is educated at the Malmö Art Academy. He works with sculpture, installation, film and sound in an intricate mix.
