Klara Zetterholm, SE
Klara Zetterholm (b. 1991), lives and works in Stockholm.
In her work, Klara Zetterholm employs methods used in set and stage design to create fake narratives of archaeology and natural history. Not only does ancient civilizations come to life in a reliefs made using plaster, spray paints and lacquers, her life-size sculptures of pre-human “people” suggests an alternative natural history, or future.
With close attention to detail, master craftsmanship and a rich imagery of alternative plants, animals and human life, Zetterholm makes art that offers a chance to learn from a fictional history and reflect on our own collective human journey.
