For Market Extended, Lind presents a series of cast-aluminum sculptures, created in 2024. Each sculpture is an original, cast in aluminum—first sculpted in clay, then molded in plaster, and finally brought to life in aluminum. The material’s reflective shine reveals its distinct voice, capturing light and form with a powerful expression. These works carry the imprint of the hand, capturing glimpses of both past and present—a bridge to our contemporary world. Karin Lind also presents two unique neon wall sculptures.

Bärare I and II / Bearer, 2024

Two unique sculptures cast in solid aluminum, each measuring H76 x W34 x D32 cm. These figures represent two women embodying strength and resilience. They bear the weight of life, the legacy of generations, and the spirit of movements that empower us all. In quiet dialogue, they nurture and uplift one another, symbolizing the strength woven into their shared histories. Inspired by South African women adorned with traditional head wraps, they reflect the profound beauty and burdens these women carry. These women, as bearers, hold the weight of the world; they embody a collective “we.” We are reminded of how we carry our lives—and in that, how we find our voices.

Mödrarnas Sång / The Mothers’ Song, 2024

Three distinct sculptures, each cast in solid aluminum, stand at H54 x W28 x D23 cm. Displayed on slowly rotating platforms, each piece is unique, with subtle variations cast from the same original clay sculpture. During our recent exhibition with Karin Lind, we noticed a gentle, resonant sound emerging from the sculptures as they rotated—a quality Karin plans to explore further. The podiums can also be crafted for outdoor display.

Uppburen / Revered, 2024

A unique sculpture cast in solid aluminum, measuring H78 x W40 x D37 cm, stands as a guardian for the climate. With a unique form, imprinted by the touch of the hand.

Siare / Seer

A unique sculpture cast in solid aluminum, measuring H100 x W46 x D43 cm. Seer embodies the future. A non-binary presence, dancing toward what lies ahead.

Under Ögonlocket / Behind the Eyelid

Neon, 140 x 140 cm ø, unique The fleeting circle of light we see when we close our eyes is like a portal to an inner world—a moment where external sight fades and introspection begins. It symbolizes a brief connection to the deeper self, where vision meets thought and memory. In meditation or spiritual practices, this glow often serves as a focal point, inviting calm and insight. This small, shifting light reminds us of our inner consciousness and the quiet, luminous potential within.

Inbetween Eyes, 2024

Neon, 15 x 130 cm, unique This neon piece captures the space between seeing and knowing. It’s about what we see when we close our eyes—the shapes, colors, and memories that appear behind our eyelids. Inbetween Eyes invites us to think about how we see beyond just our eyesight. It’s about imagination, memory, and the quiet moments when we sense things that aren’t fully visible. In this in-between space, light and vision mix, reminding us that seeing isn’t only about what’s outside but also about what’s within.
