Fredrik Brånstad (b. 1973), lives and works in Stockholm and in Björkvik, Sweden.

Brånstad constructs architectural spaces in his paintings, made up of references, art historical as well as contemporary, blended into new pictures. His works depict redu
ced surfaces that build up these architectural conditions and his image world resides at the boundary between security and vulnerability where the public space becomes the carrier of the subjective experience. Stating a certain mood.
