Wetterling Gallery (SE)
Liva Isakson Lundin
Established in 1978, Wetterling Gallery’s ambition has developed towards providing a platform for international artists -established as well as new coming artists – with an increasing emphasis on Swedish artists and focus on painting, sculpture and photography. Aiming at a lively art dialogue and searching for new forms of expression, Wetterling Gallery presents around seven exhibitions each year by emerging and established contemporary artists in Stockholm.
With a working process based upon experiments around material and their different quality’s, Liva Isakson Lundin creates spatial installations where tension, weight and balance is of great importance. Using material such as latex, gelatin and strip steel she lets the quality of the material and it’s relation to the room define the final form of the work. Despite the fact that the works are still they radiate strong movement and tension. Through the use of material, size and form the pieces must be describes as very bodily and the viewer is attracted to touch and feel the works.
